Our story
How it started
Semmtech began in 2010 as a team of engineers working on some of the most complex projects around, including infrastructure, ships, and aircraft. We combined two rare strengths: knowledge representation for Systems Engineering and Product Lifecycle Management on one side, and distributed database technology on the other. That mix made us early to graph technology and semantic modeling, long before most of the industry caught on, and it’s kept us at the front of the field ever since.
We’ve never worked in isolation, either. Our founders have spent more than 15 years shaping the standards that enable interoperability through NEN, ISO, BSI, and CFIHOS.
Today, we’re a team of over fifty specialists, and we’re deliberate about who we work for: government bodies and multinationals that provide what society depends on: infrastructure, housing, safety, energy, and water. When their information works, so does everything built on top of it, helping them deliver what people rely on.
