About this event
Vakbeurs Openbare Ruimte is the leading Dutch trade fair for the design, layout, maintenance, and management of a smart, sustainable, and healthy living environment. It is the place where government bodies and companies come together to shape the public space of tomorrow, with a busy exhibition floor and a full program of practical talks across two days at Jaarbeurs Utrecht.
Managing public space well depends on managing the data behind it well. That makes this fair a natural fit for us: the people responsible for roads, greenery, water, and everything else in the public domain are exactly the people who benefit when asset data is structured, standardized, and easy to share.
Semmtech at Vakbeurs Openbare Ruimte
We are attending the fair with three colleagues: Herman Hoekman, Yvonne Hidding, and Rikkert van Riet. You will find us at our stand, number 4.6.48, throughout both days. Come by to talk about asset data, data standards, and how to get more value out of the information behind your public space.
Yvonne’s presentation: putting IMBOR to work for public space
Yvonne Hidding will give a talk on using the IMBOR standard (Informatiemodel Beheer Openbare Ruimte, the Dutch information model for managing public space) as an ontology. She will show how treating IMBOR as a structured, semantic foundation helps organizations register, exchange, and reuse public space data consistently, so it becomes a reliable basis for management decisions rather than another set of disconnected spreadsheets.
Who it is for
Professionals working on the public domain: asset and data managers at municipalities, provinces, and water authorities, along with contractors, engineering firms, and advisors involved in the design, maintenance, and management of public space.
