What is integration?

Organizations store data in a multitude of databases using a variety of techniques. Leading to inefficiencies, data silos, and above all: missed opportunities. Integration of data sources is the field of retrieving data from multiple sources, changing its ‘languages’ into a singular form, and using combined data in applications for better insights, quality checks, and improved collaboration

At Semmtech, we integrate data through Extraction, Transformation, and Load (ETL) to transfer data from one source to another. Additionally, we employ Virtual Integration, using Semantic Layer and Knowledge Graph principles to query data coherently while keeping the data stored where it is.
