Sales Engineer – SaaS solution

Semmtech is looking for a Sales Engineer with experience in SaaS solution selling to join our Laces Sales team.

Semmtech is a fast-growing company that provides information consultancy and a proprietary SaaS solution called Laces for managing end-to-end data ecosystems in technical industries such as Energy, Process, Water, Infrastructure, Construction, and Shipbuilding. We are currently seeking a Sales Engineer with 2-3 years of experience to join our sales team and contribute to the commercial growth of our software.

Our software, Laces, offers a comprehensive suite of powerful apps designed to manage reference data, data models, and specifications, making it easy to structure, publish, and integrate information. Built on the open standard of Linked Data, Laces seamlessly connects to information architectures, allowing users to capture, share, and apply their data more efficiently and effectively than ever before.

So, what are you going to do?

  • Devising and deploying strategies to sell our software to new accounts – from lead generation, sales pitches, and product demonstrations to deal-making.
  • Develop an understanding of prospects’ business goals and needs, and turn those into compelling stories and actionable solutions to help them succeed.
  • Analyzing market trends and developments to discover new business opportunities and inform the Marketing and Sales decision-making.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with potential partners, customers, and stakeholders.
  • Creating new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and desk-based outreach.
  • Formulating and implementing strategies to increase revenue and maximize profit.
  • Setting objectives and KPIs to measure and improve commercial performance.

Who you are:

  • You have 2+ years of experience in SaaS Sales.
  • You have a degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field. 
  • Your English & Dutch are excellent (i.e. full professional proficiency).
  • You have experience in commercial writing and storytelling.
  • You have a demonstrated ability to research, identify, tackle, grow, and close business opportunities.
  • You have well-developed verbal, written, listening, and interpersonal skills and ample experience communicating with clients, stakeholders, vendors, etc.
  • You can think creatively about business opportunities and love to solve problems.
  • You are a tech-enthusiast, passionate about data and IT, and ideally also interested in the infrastructure-, construction-, energy transition- and process industries.
