“As a consultant, I help clients with their data-driven challenges. My average day consists of meetings (with clients and colleagues), creating presentations and project plans and planning of the work that has to be completed. I very much appreciate the variety in my (day-to-day) work and the close contact with my clients. It’s very rewarding to see how our propositions support clients in their daily work, for example in the construction of an office building. Working at Semmtech taught me time management, flexibility and to delegate work, while maintaining the high quality of our deliverables.”

”I started out as a consultant with Semmtech and today I’m a Lead Developer. Within Semmtech there was room to figure out where my strengths lie and what role and work suits me best. As a software developer on an average day I’m of course coding. Mostly in Java and JavaScript and using frameworks like Spring and React. Next to my coding activities I’m also making sure the Scrum process runs smoothly. As a Scrum master I’m responsible for the team having everything they need to do their job, like organizing all necessary meetings and making sure these meetings are constructive and timeboxed. I facilitate refinements with the entire development team and guide reviews with the product owner. The balance between coding and organizing the team makes my job really dynamic and interesting.”
