As the new year begins, we take a moment to look back at everything that made 2025 so special for us. Alongside the impactful work we delivered with our clients, we hosted webinars and a community event that brought our network closer together. We also welcomed 7 new colleagues from both the Netherlands and abroad.
Each of our new hires brings unique skills, fresh energy, and a strong drive to develop. In this blog, we take a closer look at who joined our company in 2025, what their typical workday looks like, which skills they have already developed, and who they are outside Semmtech. Read on to meet the people behind our team’s continued growth!
Wynand has a background in machine learning and artificial intelligence and has been putting these skills to great use within a linked data environment. He is especially interested in GraphRAG-style solutions that combine knowledge graphs and language models to turn complex information into clear and reliable outputs.
In his free time, he enjoys staying active and spending time with friends. A perfect day begins with a morning run and ends with a relaxed evening in a café.
Gaetana recently worked for a client in the construction industry, where she utilized her data background to develop a solution powered by AI and NLP language processing. This project helped her grow her knowledge of enterprise architecture. Gaetana enjoys working in project settings where she can connect data, technology, and people.
Outside work, you will usually find her on the dance floor teaching Dominican Bachata, dancing salsa, or planning new dance projects.
Robin is working on a project for a large Dutch construction company. There, he examines how the company currently stores information, identifies challenges with the current structure, and proposes improvements to the setup.
He finds the scale of the project fun, since it offers insight into how a large organisation with more than 3,500 employees structures its data tooling. Clear communication with stakeholders is one of his strengths and something he enjoys doing every day.
In his free time, he likes to expand and listen to his vinyl collection, and he practices a variety of sports.
Anna joined our team and is working on our software, Laces. Anna’s greatest joy at work is the supportive and collaborative atmosphere within the team. Her role encompasses traditional testing as well as process improvements from a quality assurance (QA) perspective. She aims to identify potential issues early in the development process and clearly communicate her findings, with a focus on delivering the best results for users.
Outside work, Anna searches for (second-hand) Discworld novels by Sir Terry Pratchett, and she recently began crocheting her own Christmas decorations.
Nemat has a background in civil and environmental engineering, holding a master’s degree in construction management and engineering. She has quite a few years of experience in wastewater treatment, including construction, commissioning, maintenance, and operation. Having seen many stages of a project lifecycle, Nemat discovered a passion for improving efficiency through data-driven decision-making.
In her free time, she enjoys reading, completing jigsaw puzzles, and cooking heart-warming meals for friends and family.
Tim holds a master’s degree in management of innovation and has several years of experience in the IT sector, along with studies in artificial intelligence. This combination gives him a strong base for assessing technological potential while keeping business value in mind. He is currently following training in model-based systems engineering, linked data, and application interfacing. He is also exploring new opportunities for Semmtech in the world of no-code application builders.
Tim enjoys reading, playing board games with friends, and boxing twice a week to stay fit.
Danaé recently joined Semmtech and is currently diving into technical training to explore how she will shape her path within the company. She is looking forward to joining a project soon to gain in-depth practical experience. While she enjoys exploring technical details, she is also keen to develop her project management and stakeholder engagement skills in the year ahead.
Outside work, Danaé enjoys practicing yoga, playing tennis, and reading.
